CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (2-9, 0-4 CCAA) fell in three straight sets at Cal State Dominguez Hills (5-7, 2-2 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at the Torodome.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Five service errors plagued the Cougars in the opening set as the Toros took it at 25-18.
• CSUSM struggled in the second set on offense, tallying just six kills to CSUDH's 16, as the Toros recorded a 25-13 win.
• For the third consecutive set, the Cougars got in a hole early by being down 12-3 and were forced to play catch up. CSUSM did put together a 7-4 run late but just couldn't force a fourth set, falling 19-25 as CSUDH completed the sweep.

• The last time CSUSM was swept by a conference opponent was at then-No. 17 Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 13, 2023 That loss sparked a five-match win streak that started with a five-set victory over the Broncos the following night in The Sports Center.
