ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (10-18, 9-13 CCAA) ended its 2023-24 season with a 94-55 loss at Sonoma State (15-13, 11-11 CCAA) on Thursday night at The Wolves' Den.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seawolves jumped out to an 11-point lead at the 15:35 mark of the first half with a layup by Damien Miller as part of a 6-0 run.
- The Cougars cut the deficit to 22-16 on a Jermaine Rogers jumper with 10:41 left in the period.
- SSU went back up by double digits at 27-16 on a James Nobles 3-pointer with 9:31 remaining in the half.
- The Seawolves stretched the lead out to 22 points as Julian Bryant made a dunk at the end of an 8-0 run to make it 40-18 with 53 seconds to go in the period.
- CSUSM trailed 42-21 at the half after shooting just 31% (9-of-29) from the field while SSU came in at 48.5% (16-of-33).
- Thirteen of Sonoma's 42 first-half points came on second-chance shots.
- The second half didn't get any easier for the Cougars as they went down by 30 on a Bryant layup to give the Seawolves a 54-24 lead.
- SSU went up 84-44 on a driving layup by Cole Cummings with 4:43 remaining.

- CSUSM had the advantage in turnovers (10-8) and steals (5-4), but SSU led the way in rebounds (56-22), assists (20-16) and blocks (5-0).
- CSUSM ended the game shooting 35.4% (23-of-65) while SSU finished at 51.5% (35-of-68).
- Collins finished the year with 496 points – the eighth most in a single season at CSUSM.
- The Cougars finished the season tied for eighth in the CCAA standings.
