AUSTIN, Texas – Junior
Danielle Paulson of the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team was named to the 2024 NCAA Division II Academic All-America women's soccer third team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Wednesday.
Becoming the program's third CSC Academic All-American in team history, Paulson ended the 2024 season with a team-leading five goals. Of those five, the defender from Long Beach recorded three game-winners for the Cougars.
Paulson was previously selected to the All-CCAA first team in November, earning her second career all-conference honor.
A Biological Science major, Paulson has a cumulative 3.98 grade-point average and joined Cal State Monterey Bay's Jennifer Limon as the CCAA's two lone CSC Academic All-Americans this season.
This is the second consecutive season CSUSM has had an Academic All-American as Danielle's twin sister
Natalie Paulson earned second-team honors in 2023.
The Division II Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America program.
