POMONA, Calif. – A late rally in the third set was not enough as the Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (4-13, 2-8 CCAA) fell in three sets (12-25, 15-25, 13-25) to No. 6 Cal Poly Pomona (16-0, 10-0 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Broncos came out strong in the opening set, recording a 25-13 win behind a .621 clip (19k, 1e, 29ta)
- Just like the day before, CPP led wire-to-wire in the second set, taking it at 25-15.
- The Cougars came alive in the third set, erasing a 14-8 deficit with a 10-3 run that put them up 18-17 on a kill by Jada Blake. Both teams traded leads with neither team taking more than a one-point lead until the Broncos clinched the match with a 26-24 set victory.
