TURLOCK, Calif. – Scoring three unanswered goals, the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (4-3-1, 1-0-0 CCAA) began conference play with a 3-0 shutout at Stanislaus State (3-5-0, 0-1-0) on Friday night at Warrior Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Off a corner kick from Curtis Collazos from the left side, Ibarra took a low, rolling shot from outside the box before Aminloo kicked the rebound off the keeper into the center of the goal to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute.
- CSUSM had a 1-0 lead after 45 minutes as it led in shots at 7-3 while putting five on goal. The Cougars also had six corner kicks for the period while the Warriors posted two.
- The Cougars took a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute. After a Warrior foul in the box set the Cougars up for a penalty kick, Saldivar put a low shot into the right side of the goal while the Stanislaus keeper dove the opposite direction.
- CSUSM put the game away in the 70th minute. Chinne intercepted a Stanislaus clear attempt out of the box and kicked the ball over to Meinardus in the middle of Warrior territory. Meinardus then took a shot from 10 yards outside of the box and hit the left post of the goal before the ball ricocheted into the back right corner and handed CSUSM a 3-0 lead in the 70th minute.

- This was CSUSM's first win in Turlock since 2018 and the Cougars are now 5-1-2 in the all-time series.
- CSUSM has now won four of the last five meetings against Stanislaus.
