SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (3-3-1) will start CCAA play this weekend as it makes the trip to Stanislaus State (3-4-0) for a 4:30 p.m. game on Friday before concluding the weekend at No. 2 Chico State (7-0-0) on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
 
LAST WEEK

• CSUSM suffered two losses last week to wrap up non-conference play as it fell 3-1 to Point Loma on Wednesday before taking a 1-0 loss to Cal State East Bay on Saturday.
• Nomar Ibarra scored his first goal as a Cougar against the Sea Lions on Wednesday.

• CSUSM is taking the fourth-most corner kicks per game in the CCAA at 4.17.
• Taking an average of 13.14 shots per game, the Cougars rank fifth in the conference.

BEGINNING CCAA PLAY AT STANISLAUS

• CSUSM will play its second road game of the season on Friday.
• The Warriors wrapped up non-conference play with a 3-1 win against Academy of Art last Tuesday before falling 3-2 to then No. 5 Chico State on Saturday.
• Tyler Tipton has been Stan State's top player this season with a CCAA-leading seven goals, ranking ninth nationally. He earned CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors this past week by scoring three gols
• The Warriors have the top shot accuracy in the conference with 50% of all shots coming on goal.
• Making 5.0 saves per game, Stanislaus ranks second in the CCAA.
