COURSE REPORT:Â The No. 10/8 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team leads the CCAA Women's Golf Championships with a four-stroke lead after carding a 15-over 303 in the opening round.
Caroline Wales is tied for second following a 2-over 74 performance in the first round.

- Wales recorded two birdies and four bogeys in the first round.
- Breann Horn and Madison Murr are in a three-way tie for sixth place with Sonoma State's Lauren Garcia after carding a 4-over 76.
- Kaila Higgins held on to a top 10 spot, sitting in a three-way tie for ninth with a 5-over 77.
- Makenna Cabardo is tied for 15th place with a 7-over 79.
