CHICO, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos'
Greg Mouser was named CCAA Co-Golfer of the Week alongside Cal State Dominguez Hills' Andy Yoon for the week of March 8-14 by the conference office.
Â
The two CCAA golfers were atop of the leaderboard with an 8-under 136 at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout before the final round was canceled due to heavy winds.
Â
Both Yoon and Mouser shot identical scores of 69-67 on Monday, tying Holy Names' Luke Dugger at the top of the leaderboard. Yoon was declared the tournament's individual medalist by having the best back-9 score in the second round with a six-under.
Â
The Cougars won the team competition with a 10-under 566 – three strokes better than Simon Fraser. CSUSM has finished first in three tournaments this 2022-23 season.
Â
Mouser shot 12 birdies during Monday's two rounds.
Â
This was the second golfer of the week award for Mouser this season. Mouser had a share of the honor Feb. 15 with CSUSB's Jacob Calderon.
Â
CSUSM will next compete in the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, March 27-28, in Turlock.
