SEATTLE – Wrapping up non-conference play, the Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (3-7, 2-2 CCAA) fell 73-66 on the road at Seattle Pacific (8-7, 1-1 GNAC) on Tuesday afternoon at Royal Brougham Pavilion.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM began the game with a 5-0 lead on a layup by Collins and a 3-pointer by Pope with 18:35 to go in the period.
- Up 8-7, the Cougars went on a 6-0 run and took their largest lead of the game at 14-7 with a driving layup by Chris Howard at the 14:08 mark of the half.
- SPU took its first lead of the game with a 10-0 run and went up 17-14 with a layup by Owen Moriarty with 11:02 to go in the period.
- The Cougars stayed within four points of the Falcons for the remainder of the half until SPU's Shaw Anderson made a layup with two seconds remaining to give the Falcons a 34-28 halftime lead.
- The Falcons shot 60% (12-of-20) from the field in the first half while the Cougars came in at 37.5% (12-of-32).
- Down 36-30 with 18:55 to play, CSUSM went on a 10-0 run of its own and took a 40-36 lead on a jumper by Charlie Henderson with 16:28 remaining.
- SPU retook the lead at 46-44 as Kyle Luttinen got a layup to go with 12:09 left.
- After a few back-and-forth baskets, the Falcons regained the lead for the final time as Luttinen drained a 3-pointer to make it 55-52 with 8:29 remaining.
- SPU maintained a three-point lead or better for the rest of the contest and came away with the win.

- The Falcons ended the game shooting 54.8% (23-of-42) while holding the Cougars to 40.9% (27-of-66).
- The Cougars tied their season-best 3-point field-goal percentage of .385 while going 10-of-26.
- CSUSM won the rebound battle at 35-25 while coming down with all 16 offensive boards in the game.
- Uriah Foster led the game with a career-high seven rebounds and had a game-high four offensive boards.
- The Cougars got into foul trouble by committing 19 and sent the Falcons to the line where they made 19-of-20 free throws.
- Both sides committed seven turnovers while CSUSM had one more steal at 5-4.
- The Cougars had a game-high 14 assists while Henderson and Camren Pierce each lead the team with five.
