SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (5-3-2, 2-0-1 CCAA) posted a 1-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills (3-3-3, 0-2-1 CCAA) in its conference home opener on Friday at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- After a scoreless 45 minutes of play, the Toros had a 3-2 lead in shots and were up 3-1 on corner kicks.
- Entering the 76th minute of action still tied at 0-0, the Cougars upped the pressure on the Toros with a flurry of shots off the CSUDH keeper. Collazos finally earned possession again just left of the goal and floated a pass to the right side of the goal where Marsh headed the ball into the right side of the net to put CSUSM up 1-0 with the day's lone goal.
 
QUICK KICKS
	- This was CSUSM's first win over CSUDH since 2019 and the first at home since 2018.
- The Cougars ended the day taking 10 shots to the Toros' eight while both teams put four shots on goal.
- CSUDH closed out the day taking more corner kicks at 5-3.
- Marsh's goal was his first of the season while Collazos earned his team-leading third assist to give him the second-most points on the team with seven.
- A combined total of 31 fouls and four yellow cards were assessed.
- The Cougars had possession for 53% of the match.
