TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (4-8, 3-2 CCAA) got the job done on Friday night with a four-set CCAA victory (19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-14) at Stanislaus State (11-3, 3-2 CCAA) to begin a four-match road trip.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 5-1 in the opening set, the Cougars crawled back to even it at 8-all on back-to-back kills by Barr. CSUSM tied it one more time at 10-all but were not able to take the lead and fell 25-19 in the first set.
- The second set was a different story as the Cougars took a 9-5 lead on a Wentzel kill and held it until Stan State evened it at 17-all. Two consecutive kills by Barr put CSUSM back on top at 19-18. A Ridgeway kill sealed the deal at 25-22 for the Cougars and even the match at 1-1.
- CSUSM led the entire third set, hitting .282 while holding the Warriors to a .167 clip, to claim a 25-20 victory and take a 2-1 lead in the match.
- The Cougars jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the fourth set behind a .667 attack percentage (9k, 0e, 13ta) and cruised the rest of the way for a 25-14 victory.

- The Cougars hit .265 on the night, their second-highest attack percentage of the season, while Stan State posted a .215 clip. In the last three sets, CSUSM put together a .315 clip.
- Turner tallied her seventh double-double of the season with 48 assists and 13 digs.
- Barr registered a career-best 21 kills for her fifth double-double of the season with her 14 digs.
- With the win, CSUSM moved up to 7-3 in the all-time series against the Warriors and are 3-2 when playing in Turlock.
