SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (8-17, 7-11 CCAA) fell in three sets to Sonoma State (19-7, 12-6 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first set stayed close until the 9-8 mark when the Seawolves pulled away to take a 16-11 lead before cruising to a 25-16 win.
• The second set featured nine tie scores and four lead changes as SSU went on a take a 25-21 victory and a 2-0 lead in the match.
• CSUSM battled in the third set, evening the score at 15-all on a block by Miechowicz and Sofia Hedqvist. The Seawolves responded with five unanswered points before registering a 25-17 victory.
