SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (4-7-2, 2-3-1 CCAA) will return to The Cage this weekend to face Chico State (6-3-4, 3-1-2 CCAA) on Friday at 3 p.m. before playing Cal Poly Humboldt (2-4-7, 1-2-3 CCAA) on Sunday at 2 p.m.
 
LAST WEEK

• CSUSM began last week with a 2-0 loss to No. 12 Cal State LA on Thursday.
• The Cougars then scored two unanswered second-half goals to come away with a 2-2 draw at No. 10 Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday.

FRIDAY AGAINST THE WILDCATS

• Chico is currently third in the CCAA standings with 11 points.

• CSUSM's 2022 roster of 28 includes 16 returners, seven transfers and five freshmen.

• In 2021, the Cougars finished the season with an overall record of 4-12-1.
• CSUSM finished ninth in the CCAA standings with a 3-7-1 record.

• This season marks the 17th season for head coach Ron Pulvers at CSUSM.
• Pulvers has a 125-112-28 (.525) record as CSUSM's head men's coach.
• In 26 seasons as a collegiate head men's soccer coach, Pulvers holds a 251-183-42 (.571) career record.
• He was 84-42-24 (.640) while in charge of the CSUSM women's program.
