AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team suffered its first setback of the young 2019 season as it fell 2-1 at No. 11 Azusa Pacific on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• APU got on the board first with a goal in the 27th minute by Arturo Astorga from Renan Gomes.
• Williamson, a freshman, posted his third goal of the season to knot the game at 1-1 in the 68th minute.
• Less than three minutes after Williamson's goal, APU's Gomes put a shot into the back of the net to put APU back up 2-1.

 
QUICK KICKS

• CSUSM dropped to 1-1 for the season while APU improved to 2-0.
• CSUSM was held to just one shot while APU took 10.
• Both sides took seven corner kicks for the game.
