Box Score SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team remained perfect to begin its 2019 season as it earned a 3-1 victory (25-21, 27-25, #-#, 25-16) over Bentley on Friday night at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed 19-15 before ticking off five consecutive points to take the lead and snagged a 25-21 victory in the opening set.
- In the second set, CSUSM jumped out to a 7-2 lead but the Falcons rallied back to even the game at 23-all and collected a 27-25 set win.
- The Falcons held on with all their might to force a fourth set after tallying a 28-26 third set win.
- CSUSM took an early 13-6 lead thanks to Grecia Cordero-Barr serving up eight consecutive points and the Cougars never looked back to clinch the set and match.
QUICK HITS
- CSUSM improves to 3-0 on the season while Bentley drops to 1-1.
- This is the Cougars' first 3-0 start to a season since 2012 and is just the second since the program began in 2011.
