HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars jumped out to a great start, holding a 24-16 lead before the Seawolves went on a 10-0 run to snag the first set at 26-24.
- After trading leads until the 12-all point in the second set, CSUSM closed it to one point at 16-15 before UAA pulled away to 20-15. The Seawolves would take a 2-0 lead in the match after a 25-19 win.
- The Cougars bounced back with a hot start in the third set, taking a 16-6 lead and forcing a Seawolf timeout.
- CSUSM held off a 5-0 Seawolf run to top them with a 25-19 third set victory.
- The Cougars evened the game at 14-all on a Cordero-Barr ace, but UAA responded with a 7-1 run to clinch the match victory after a 25-19 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars fell behind early and tried to play catch up the entire first set before falling 25-18 to SFU.
- The second set was similar to the first with the Clan coming out on top at 25-16.
- CSUSM took its first two-point lead of the third set on a Mackenzie Jennings kill at 12-10.
- CSUSM caught fire to extend its lead to 22-15 before SFU came charging back to even the set at 24-all.
- Both squads had set-point opportunities, but the Clan came out victorious at 28-26. Â
