SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team capped off its 2018-19 season with a 90-84 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) victory over Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday afternoon at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM trailed 43-38 at the halftime break after shooting 46.9 percent (15-of-32) while the Otters put up 51.5 percent (17-of-33).
- Sloan led all scorers in the first 20 minutes with 15 points.
- Of the Otters' 43 first-half points, 30 came from their bench.
- Both teams posted their largest leads of the game in the first half as the Cougars had an eight-point lead at 14:16 before the Otters took a 10-point lead with 4:24 remaining.
- After trailing for the first seven minutes of the second half, CSUSM tied it at 57-all with a three by Soffer with 12:58 to go.
- A good free throw by Fuller at 12:31 gave the Cougars their first lead of the half.
- With CSUSM up 83-81, the Otters' Jahvon Johnson nailed a three to give CSUMB an 84-83 lead with 50 seconds remaining.
- The Cougars then ended the game on a 7-0 run to capture the victory.

- CSUSM ends the season with a mark of 9-19 (6-16 CCAA) while CSUMB ends the year with a record of 2-25 (2-20 CCAA).
- The Cougars tallied their second-most points of the season.
- CSUSM ended its season with a season-best three-game winning streak.
- CSUSM posted its second-best field-goal percentage of the year at 49.2 percent (31-of-63) while CSUMB shot 48.5 percent (33-of-68).

- The Otters ended the game with 50 bench points.
