SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team took a tough result of 1-0 against cross-town rival Point Loma on Saturday at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• PLNU dominated the first half in shots, getting on the board on a cross from Diaz that Glaser headed to the top left corner.
• CSUSM got three shots on frame during a four-second period, two from Jessica Moreno and one from Ashleigh Peterson, in the 65th minute.

 
QUICK KICKS

• CSUSM falls to 1-2-1 on the season while the Sea Lions move up to 2-1 overall.
• PLNU held a slight shot advantage at 9-8 with the Cougars dominating in the second half with 6-2 advantage while the Sea Lions led in the opening half at 7-2.
• Peterson led the Cougar offense with two shots on goal.
• CSUSM starting keeper Bailey Cockrill tallied three saves before exiting the game. Her replacement Yesenia Betancourt notched one save.
