- SFSU's Kwong broke away down the right side in the seventh minute to put the Gators up 1-0.
- The Gators' Nicki Rucki recorded the shutout after making six saves on 11 shots faced.

- After getting outshot 7-3 in the first half, the Cougars turned up the pressure in the second half by taking eight shots and holding the Gators to one.
- CSUSM led the game in shots (11-8), shots on goal (6-5) and corner kicks (8-2).
- The Cougars have allowed no more than one goal in their last four contests.
- CSUSM drops to 5-5-1 (4-2 CCAA) on the season while SFSU improves to 6-4-1 (4-2-1 CCAA).
