SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team returned to The Sports Center on Friday night to put on a dominant performance by sweeping Sonoma State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM recorded a .304 attacking percentage that boosted them to a 25-13 victory in the opening set.
- Both teams battled in the beginning of the second set before Maddy Newcombe served eight consecutive points to help lift the Cougars to a 25-15 win.
- The Cougars secured the third set at 25-10 with a match-high .429 clip.
