Biola Run Down
· The Cougars are 3-2-3 (.563) all-time against the Eagles.
· CSUSM fell 2-1 in the last meeting between the squads last season on Sept. 10.
· The Cougars are 1-0-2 all-time at home against Biola.
· Biola, which plays in the NAIA's Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC), bounced back from a 1-0 loss to No. 21 Marymount College with back-to-back home victories over Great Falls and Rocky Mountain.
· Biola is coming off a 2015 season in which the Eagles took home the GSAC regular season and tournament titles.
· The Eagles are entering their final season of NAIA play. The institution is currently in the first season of a three-year transition process for NCAA Division II membership.
 
St. Martin's Story
· The Saints and Cougars have never met.
· St. Martin's is located in Lacey, Wash. And the Saints compete in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
· The Saints went 0-2 last week and surrendered nine goals combined.
· St. Martin's was picked to finish seventh in GNAC preseason poll.

The Week That Was
· The Cougars gave up four second-half goals in their season opening 4-0 loss at Concordia on Sept. 1.
· CSUSM hadn't opened the season with a loss since 2011, when they started 0-3, but rallied for a 10-7-1 finish to the season.

The Pulvers File
Head coach Ron Pulvers enters his 11^th season as head coach of the CSUSM men's soccer program and 21^st overall as a collegiate head coach. He holds a 96-61-15 (.602) record in charge of the CSUSM men's program and a 222-132-29 (.617) career record. Between 2006-13, Pulvers was the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at CSUSM.
