SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team, one of three teams without a conference loss, continues California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play this week against Humboldt State and Sonoma State in The Cage.

Cougar Notes
· CSUSM secured its first-ever victory over a ranked NCAA DII team with a 1-0 upset of previously-undefeated No. 21 UC San Diego last Wednesday.
· The Cougars tied Chico State 1-1 two days later.
· Center back Andrew Stalboerger scored in both matches for the Cougars and was named CSUSM's first-ever CCAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
· Since going 0-2 to start the year, the Cougars are 2-0-1 over their last three matches.
· CSUSM has gained four points from two conference matches and sits in seventh place with two games in hand.
 
Humboldt's State
· CSUSM is 1-0-0 all-time against the Jacks.
· The Cougars outlasted HSU 3-2 in their only meeting on Oct. 18, 2015.
· HSU has dropped three of its last four matches, all by a single goal.
· The Jacks went 1-1 last week with a win over Stan St. and a loss to Cal State East Bay.

Sonoma State on the Rise
· CSUSM is 0-1-0 all-time against the Seawolves.
· The Cougars fell 3-1 in the team's only other meeting on Oct. 16, 2015 in Rohnert Park.
· SSU has scored seven goals over its last two matches, a 3-1 win over Cal State East Bay and a 4-0 victory over Stan St.
· SSU is in third place in the CCAA table with nine points, three behind Cal Poly Pomona.

The Pulvers File
Head coach Ron Pulvers enters his 11^th season as head coach of the CSUSM men's soccer program and 21^st overall as a collegiate head coach. He holds a 98-61-16 (.606) record in charge of the CSUSM men's program and a 224-132-30 (.619) career record. Between 2006-13, Pulvers was the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at CSUSM.
