Cougars Earn First Victory of Year vs. St. Martin's
· The Cougars scored three times in the first half in a 3-0 victory over the Saints on Sept. 12.
· Bryan Morrison opened the scoring with a  clinical free-kick in the 26^th minute before Victor Gonzalez headed in Robbie Dirks' throw-in in the 42^nd and Zach Olow added a penalty kick in the 44^th.
· Justin Tesar made three point-blank saves to preserve his first career shutout.
· 20 total Cougar players saw game action in the victory.
 
No. 21 UCSD Coming in Hot
· CSUSM is 1-4-0 all-time against UC San Diego.
· UCSD won the only meeting between the squads last season, 1-0, on Oct. 21 in La Jolla.
· The Tritons have not surrendered a goal over their last four matches.
· UCSD is ranked for the first time since appearing at No. 9 in the 2014 preseason NSCAA poll.

Chico State Breakdown
· CSUSM is 0-1-0 all-time against the Wildcats.
· The Cougars fell 2-1 in their only meeting last season on Oct. 25 in Chico.
· All of Chico's matches have been decided by a goal or less.
· The Wildcats fell to San Francisco State, 1-0, and tied Cal State Monterey Bay, 0-0, last week.

The Pulvers File
Head coach Ron Pulvers enters his 11^th season as head coach of the CSUSM men's soccer program and 21^st overall as a collegiate head coach. He holds a 97-61-15 (.604) record in charge of the CSUSM men's program and a 223-132-29 (.618) career record. Between 2006-13, Pulvers was the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at CSUSM.
