CSUSM Begins Final Year of NCAA Division II Transition
The Cougars enter their final year of the NCAA Division II transition process in 2016. Now NCAA DII Provisional Members, CSUSM will play a NCAA DII and California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) schedule, but will still not be eligible for postseason play until 2017.
Home Opener
CSUSM will be at home in The Cage for the first time on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. for a non-conference tilt vs. Biola.

th minute, to lift the Cougars to victory against their highest-ranked opponent since 2008. Angel Mora delivered a pair of assists.
CUI Breakdown: The Eagles, who are also in their final year of the NCAA DII transition, were picked to take ninth in the PacWest Preseason Poll after going 6-10-1 in 2015.

Head coach
Ron Pulvers enters his 11
th season as head coach of the CSUSM men's soccer program and 21
st overall as a collegiate head coach. He holds a 96-60-15 (.605) record in charge of the men's program and a 222-131-29 (.619) career record. Between 2006-13, Pulvers was the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at CSUSM.
