SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team was swept on Sunday afternoon by Saint Martin's, 8-6 (8 inn.) and 6-1, in non-conference play at CSUSM Softball Field.
A two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning by SMU pinch hitter Corrie Wilson provided the difference in the opening game. In game two, the Cougars were only able to muster a single run aided by a key SMU error.
The Cougars drop to 2-6 overall and have now dropped six straight, their second-longest losing streak in program history. SMU improves to 4-0 overall.
CSUSM opens California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play next Friday and Saturday at home with a four-game series against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Amanda Lejano's (1-3) delivery over the left-centerfield fence to put SMU up two.
