SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The No. 23 Cal State San Marcos volleyball teams wraps up its 2014 regular season schedule this Friday against Hope International at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, CSUSM will honor its five seniors in a short ceremony.

Senior Night For Fab Five
The Cougars will recognize five seniors prior to Friday's match: Kara Barkdoll, Alyssa Foster, Alyssa Hubbard, Kelli McLin and Erin Talafus. Parents, make sure to arrive at 6:30 so you don't miss taking part in the festivities!
 
A.I.I. Selection
The Cougars are gearing up to defend its Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) tournament title on Nov. 14-15 in Denver, Colo.  They received their official invitation to the tournament on Monday, Nov. 3 from the conference office. Favored to win, CSUSM is 3-for-3 in winning A.I.I. tournament title since the volleyball program began three seasons ago.
 
On Another Streak
CSUSM is in the midst of a four-game win streak with three of the matches being sweeps.  Earlier this season, the Cougars put together 10 consecutive wins between Aug. 21 and Sept. 5 that included a five-set victory over then No. 18 College of Idaho.
 
Hope International
All-time record vs. HIU: 5-0
Last meeting: W, 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-17) on Oct. 8, 2014 in Fullerton, Calif.
HIU Breakdown: The Royals are 7-17 on the season, losing eight of their last 10 games.  Their most recent match resulted in a five-set win at William Jessup on Nov. 4. Mikayla Derieg leads HIU's offense, averaging 2.89 kills per set while racking up 38 aces.
