SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 3 Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team improved its unbeaten record to 9-0 overall with a 72-61 win over Montana Tech on Friday night at the Westminster Thanksgiving Classic.
Julian Camper led the Cougars with his second consecutive double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Blake Nash followed with 16 points, a game-high eight assists and seven rebounds.
The Cougars shot 47.5 percent for the game while holding Montana Tech (4-5) to 36.7 percent. CSUSM turned the ball over just five times in the contest and turned 10 Tech turnovers into 12 points
Wade Collie added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, hitting three of his five 3-point attempts.

Blake Nash's jumper handed CSUSM a six-point lead with five minutes left in the first half. A 3-pointer from Nash made the Cougar lead 11, but Tech closed to 39-33 at the break.
CSUSM expanded its lead back to double-digits, but Tech was able to cut its deficit to two, 59-57, with 4:28 remaining.
However, the Cougars answered with a 9-0 run that put Tech out of commission.

Dayton Boddie added a pair of free throws and Collie capped the run with his third 3-pointer of the game to make it 68-57 with 1:06 left.
The Cougars will play their fifth ranked opponent this month in host No. 15 Westminster tomorrow at 5 p.m. PT in the finale of the Westminster Thanksgiving Classic.
