CSUSM had never dropped two consecutive ranked opponents before in program history.
When The Moon Hits Your Eye Like A Big Pizza Pie, That's A-MoraAngel Mora became the first CSUSM player to be named NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week, when
he was honored with the award on Sept. 23. Mora recorded five total assists in the three games against CUI, BU and RMC. In addition, Mora took home
CSUSM Male Student-Athlete of the Month honors.
Menlo PreviewAll-time record vs. Menlo: 1-0

The Cougars and Oaks are rekindling their competitive relationship after nearly eight years apart. Menlo snapped out of a two-game skid with a 4-0 road win at Soka University on Sept. 28. The Oaks like to keep it competitive – four of their eight matches thus far have gone to overtime.
UC Santa Cruz PreviewAll-time record vs. UCSC: 2-2
Last meeting: L, 1-2 (Oct. 17, 2010)
UC Santa Cruz, an NCAA Division III independent squad, is coming off a 4-0 loss to NCAA DI's University of the Pacific. Prior to their loss to UOP, the Banana Slugs had won six of seven, all by one goal. Zach Hummel is the leading goal scorer for UCSC with four on the year.
Schedule OutlookCSUSM will host their final five games at home versus La Sierra (Oct. 9, 3 p.m.), Bethesda (Oct. 18, 3:30 p.m.), Johnson & Wales (Colo.) (Oct. 25, 2:30 p.m.), Antelope Valley (Nov. 1, 1 p.m.), and Point Loma (Nov. 4, 3:30 p.m.).
Home Games Moved to Multipurpose FieldAll remaining home matches featuring the Cal State San Marcos soccer teams will be played on the CSUSM Multipurpose Field. The change was made due to concerns with the playability of Mangrum Soccer Field. The Multipurpose Field is located directly next to Lot Z.
