La Sierra RecapThe Cougars secured their third consecutive victory last Thursday over La Sierra.
Thor English scored and
Sullivan Tobin scored for the third time in as many matches.
Landon Sherwood, making his second start of the season in goal, recorded eight saves. CSUSM has won five of its last six matches.
Angel Mora notched an assist on English's goal, increasing his streak of games with an assist to six. He's recorded eight assists in his last six matches and sits eighth in the NAIA with nine total assists.
Just a Bit OutsideThe Cougars narrowly missed being included in the NAIA Top 25 for the third consecutive week, the national office announced Tuesday. The Cougars received 69 total points in the poll and came in at No. 27 for the second week in a row. In the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Group Poll, CSUSM is No. 3 behind Ashford and Georgia Gwinnett, despite having more wins than both of their conference counterparts.

Final 4After the Cougars play Bethesda, they will host Johnson & Wales (Colo.) (Oct. 25, 2:30 p.m.), Antelope Valley (Nov. 1, 1 p.m.), and Point Loma (Nov. 4, 3:30 p.m.) to round out the regular season.
