Tourney Time
The Cougars earned the No. 2-seed for this year's A.I.I. Championships and will face No. 3-seed and host Georgia Gwinnett. Also in the competition are No. 1-seed Ashford and No. 4-seed Lindenwood-Belleville. The winner of the single-elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament. All games will be streamed live on the Grizzly Digital Network. CSUSM's semifinal game will be free for viewers, but there will be a $7.95 charge for the final if the Cougars were to make it.

A.I.I. Tournament History
CSUSM will be making its sixth-straight appearance at the A.I.I. postseason tournament on Friday. The Cougars have advanced to the finals in all but one of their appearances – in 2012, when they fell to Ashford in the semifinals. CSUSM's lone A.I.I. crown came in 2011, when Scott Rice's hat trick lifted CSUSM to a 3-1 win over Thomas (Ga.) in the championship match. Interestingly enough, that title match was the last time the Cougars were in the Peach State.

#Trending
The Cougars ended the year favorably after a rough span of eight matches between Sept. 14-29. CSUSM won four of their last five, outscoring opponents 7-2 in those wins. Alex Jaziri has scored twice within the Cougars' recent run while Sullivan Tobin contributed a pair of assists. Right-back Evan Myers has gotten into the act, scoring the first goal in a 2-1 win over Westminster on Oct. 26 before assisting on Jaziri's overtime game-winner in a 1-0 win vs. Point Loma Nazarene in the regular-season finale on Oct. 29.

CAR RAFFLE
The Cal State San Marcos Department of Athletics is hosting a 2014 MINI Cooper raffle to raise money for the Cougars' 13 intercollegiate teams. For $10, fans and friends of the program can enter to win a 2-year lease of the vehicle. For more information on how and where to buy tickets, click here.
