FRESNO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team fell to Fresno Pacific, 4-0, on Saturday night at Ramirez Field.
The Sunbirds scored three goals in a span of three minutes in the second half to help FPU improve to 2-1 on the season. CSUSM stands at 0-2-1 and will seek its first win in the Cougars' first home game on Tuesday, Sept. 11 against The Master's College at 3:00 p.m.
The Cougars put together a strong first half by outshooting the Sunbirds, 6-4. However, CSUSM could not match FPU's firepower in the second half. Bruno Pessoa scored in the 48

th minute; Guillermo Talancon and Gustavo Silva added goals in the 64
th and 67
th minutes, respectively, for the Sunbirds.
“We played well in the first half, but we are still struggling to put together a full 90 [minutes],” said CSUSM head coach
