The Cal State San Marcos Women's Golf team struggled in their final day of the NAIA National Championships, shooting a 325 on the Par-73 Link Hills Country Club course in Greeneville, Tennesee.

The outing wrapped up successful season in which the Cougars were ranked as high as 11th, and were never lower than 15th in the NAIA national polls. Entering Friday's final round, the Cougars were in 16th place after making Thursday's cut, but were not able to make the final push they were hoping for, carding their highest round of the tournament.

Felicia Titus finished the tournament as the team's highest scorer, tying for 36th overall at 314 with rounds of 77-76-77-84. Vanessa Chap (80-75-84-79, 318) and Tess Russell (80-81-80-79, 320) tied for the lowest round for the Cougars Friday at 79, and finished 52nd and 64th respectively.

Lisa Copeland shot an 85 Friday, and ended up 73rd individually, while Stephanie Cole finished her college career with an 83 and finished 83rd overall.

Senior Tess Russell and Stephanie Cole have both played a large role in the team's success this year, but the future is still very bright for the Cougars with a strong incoming class and three standouts returning again next year.
