SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team doubled La Sierra in shots, 12-6, but the Golden Eagles left Mangrum Soccer Field with a 2-1 win on Friday afternoon in Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) competition.

“I feel disappointed that we couldn't bring the right focus and energy to the game today. La Sierra just showed that they wanted to win more than us, and that was the difference in today's game,” said CSUSM head coach

The Cougars and Golden Eagles may face each other again when the A.I.I. Tournament comes to San Marcos, Nov. 9-10.
The Cougars turn around to face SOKA University at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23 at Mangrum.
