Box Score Facing a tough road test in just the sixth match in program history, Cal State San Marcos volleyball lost in straight sets on Tuesday to #9 Concordia, 12-25, 19-25, and 18-25.

The loss evens CSUSM's record at 3-3 on the season.  Concordia improves to 3-1.

The home team lived up to its lofty ranking on the night, especially in the first set when they overwhelmed a young Cougar squad still learning to play with one another.  Up 10-7 in the set, Concordia took 15 of the game's final 20 points to close it out.

CSUSM would hang tough the rest of the match, getting the second set to 18-20 before Concordia rallied to take it at the end.  The Eagles would win the final set 25-18 to close out the match.

Concordia's size proved a big difference, with the Eagles recording 8 total team blocks and hitting .356 as a team. 

Kara Barkdoll led CSUSM with a .292 hitting percentage and 11 kills.  Taylor DeGraaf led the team with 10 digs, and Alyssa Foster led with 22 assists.

CSUSM will be in action this weekend at the Biola Holiday Inn Summer Slam Tournament.
