In the second and last game of their road trip, Cougar men's soccer defeated Cal State Monterey Bay on 1-0 Sunday to get back to .500 on the year.

The win brings CSUSM to 6-6-1 entering the home stretch of the season.

The Cougars were able to get on the board early and hold on to secure the win.  In the 14th minute, Mike Nuovo found Greg Reese, who banged a shot off the inside right post to give CSUSM a quick 1-0 lead.  That would be all CSUSM needed, as the defense held strong and keeper Tashi Nakanishi made 5 saves to earn the shutout.

CSUSM will once again look to get above .500 this Friday at home against Cal Poly Pomona.
