    Assistant Volleyball Coach
Cal State San Marcos Head Volleyball coach Andrea Leonard announced the hiring of Aly Torline as the program's new Assistant Coach on March 25 , 2019.

For the last two seasons, Torline has served as the assistant coach at Wesleyan University where she also earned her master's degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in psychology. She guided the Cardinals to the program's first NESCAC Championship title in 2017. The 2018 squad won the NCAA DIII New England Region, reaching the NCAA Division III Elite Eight. During her time at Wesleyan, the program produced four AVCA All-Americans and four all-conference honorees.  

Prior to Wesleyan, Torline served as a club coach in Southern California for five years, working with 13-16 year age groups at Rancho Valley Volleyball Club and Club H Volleyball Club.

As a student-athlete, Torline competed at Cal State San Bernardino. She was a four year starting Outside Hitter for the Coyotes, leading the team to three NCAA West Region Finals and two CCAA Championships. Torline was a two-time All-West Region honoree and the third Coyote in school history to be a four-time All-CCAA selection, making All-CCAA First Team three times. Torline currently holds the CSUSB record for most points scored in a career. 
Torline was a two-time CSUSB Scholar-Athlete of the year and a 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.
 
The 2016 CCAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Torline graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.87 GPA and earning her bachelor's degree in Political Science.
