The men's 4x400m relay team edged out Cal State Fullerton 3:14.18 to 3:14.23 to win the event at the UCI Steve Scott Invitational, defeating several NCAA Division I opponents. The Cougars team of Nguyen Pham, Chung Pham, Hector Collazo, and Maurice Strickland hit the NAIA "A" standard of 3:16.0 to clinch a berth in the NAIA National Championships in Marion, Indiana May 23-25. Their time Sunday was the fastest in school history since 2010 and currently ranks fourth in the NAIA.
