Shelby Bush has been named the Cal State San Marcos Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2. Bush recorded a goal and an assist in CSUSM's 2-1 win over NCAA Division II's Seattle Pacific on Sept. 1 in Belmont. The win marked the Cougars' first win over an NCAA DII squad since 2008. CSUSM is 2-1 on the year and moved up to No. 12 in the latest NAIA National Coaches' Poll.
