Senior Tess Russell has started off the spring season strong for the #15 ranked Cougars, finishing in the top-5 in both tournaments San Marcos has played in so far. The Cougars have yet to been defeated by an NAIA school this season, largely in part to Tess’s ability to stay near the top of the leaderboard. She finished 5th out of 105 individuals at the Super San Diego Championships against mainly NCAA opponents, and her round of 74 in the Lady Cougar Classic was lowest in the tournament, and the lowest by a Cougar all season.
