Pennington was named the CCAA Golfer of the Year for the second consecutive year as he led CSUSM to its first CCAA Conference Championship with an eighth-place finish. He was named the CCAA Golfer of the Week for April 6-12 after winning the NCAA West Regional Spring Preview with an 8-under 208 in Rohnert Park.
