Burton posted an NCAA Provisional time of 53.27 while finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge. His time ranked third in the nation when the season abruptly ended and was a half-second off his personal best. He went on to take sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.12. This is Burton's first Student-Athlete of the Month honor.
