The Marysville, Washington native made CSUSM's first NCAA provisional national qualifier mark in school history with his 16.20 meter throw in the shot put. Two weeks later, he topped his own CSUSM record with a throw of 16.75 meters in the shot put at San Diego State's Aztec Invitational.
