Place, a senior shortstop from Fullerton, hit .389 with three home runs, a triple and four RBIs. He led the team in multiple categories for the month including, runs (10), hits (14), doubles (3) and total bases (28). He hit home runs in back-to-back at bats in the home opener against Concordia Portland on Saturday, Feb. 17. Place was named CCAA Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-18. He finished the month with five multi-hit games.
