Senior Josh Spiers has guided the Cougars to a 4-1 record during the month of December. The guard from Townsville, Aus. averaged 18 points, 6.8 rebounds and 32 minutes per game in the five games. His strongest performance came in an 86-76 win over SF State on New Year's Eve when he finished with a month-best 24 points and eight rebounds while going 9-of-17 from the field. CSUSM has won four straight games and stands at 10-2 overall and 5-1 in CCAA play.
