Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Ethan Alvano, a junior guard on the men's basketball team, averaged 19.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists, leading Cal State San Marcos to a 6-3 record in the month of January. The Corona native compiled 36 points, four rebounds and four assists in a 109-108 double overtime win at Cal State East Bay on Jan. 5. Alvano had 24 points, six rebounds, eight assists and six steals as the Cougars defeated Humboldt State at home, 95-90. He amassed 29 points, 13 assists and four steals in a 106-100 loss at Cal State San Bernardino.
