Frederik Jahr of the CSUSM men's track & field team was named CSUSM Male Student-Athlete of the Month for May 2016. His leap of 2.01m in the high jump at the CCAA Championships led him to a third-place finish in the event, and the men’s team’s first-ever All-CCAA selection. The Snayoera, Norway native recently graduated with a degree in Business Management from CSUSM. Earlier this month, Jahr was selected as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® 8. He is the first CSUSM student-athlete to be named CoSIDA Academic All-District® as a NCAA Division II Candidacy member. On June 2, Jahr was named a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month for May.
