Brianna Higgins has been named the January 2016 CSUSM Female Student-Athlete of the Month. She averaged 4.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks while shooting 54.2% from the field. She had a season-best eight points in an upset over NAIA No. 1 Westmont on Jan. 16.
