Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Darnell Taylor of the men's basketball team has been named the December 2015 Cal State San Marcos Male Student-Athlete of the Month. Taylor, a senior guard from Los Angeles, averaged 22 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4 assists while helping the Cougars to a 4-2 mark during the month. He earned CCAA Player of the Week honors on Dec. 8 and scored 30 points in a win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Dec. 31. It is the second straight month that he has taken home the honor. Taylor was also named a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month for December.
