Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Natalie Rodriguez of the Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team has been named the October 2015 CSUSM Female Student-Athlete of the Month. Rodriguez, a sophomore from Santa Clarita, earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) honors by taking fifth place at the CCAA Cross Country Championships. Her time of 21:39.3 in the 6K shed 34.5 seconds off her previous personal best, and it missed the CSUSM record by just .3 seconds. 

Her performance helped lead the team to an unofficial third-place finish, just a pair of points behind runner-up UC San Diego.
