Natalie Lara has been named the CSUSM Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of September 2015. Lara, a senior midfielder from Buena Park, scored twice and had four total points as the team went 1-4-3 in the month of September. She played the most minutes of any offensive player and started all eight games. Her goal in CSUSM’s 2-1 victory over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 20 helped the Cougars to their first-ever win in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
